WHISPERS IN THE DARK
Her words are few
Yet you can hear her scars
She was a light to the world, now she lives in the dark
She loved too much and received too little
She travels in dark places because her heart is too brittle
She seemed Unbreakable until she was broken
In her is a symphony of music but the lyrics are barely spoken
He took away her essence with physicality
She lost her zest for life and lives in a false sense of reality
Drunken with the idea of freedom
She endures the affliction
Thinking she's powerless
but inside she has the power to move mountains
Her testimony heals the broken hearted and quenches their thirst like crystal fountains
She stays in isolation fearing the human touch
Thinking if she comes out of the dark she will lose her virginity
Which is her security by living in obscurity
Until she hears a voice of solace
A whisper that is ointment to her soul
That can take the brokenness and make her whole
Because she stopped believing in humanity and the hurt took it's toll
Now she has the strength to walk down the least traveled road
And she can recognize the treasure she has inside is worth more than gold
The darkness fades as she walks closer to the horizon
Her eyes adjust to the new world of life
A place where humanity can be civil and live without strife. 
Now she can finally move forward because she paid the price
And be a beacon of hope to those who gave up their rights
The right to believe
The right to love
The right to care
The right to be there
For others when they escape from the darkness
She's pregnant with new beginnings and gives life to the heartless
Now she can whisper to the ones in the dark
That living in light is not so hard
And don't wait for others to get your start
You're already there just listen to the whispers in the dark
